Massive Christmas Update

Hello again from BLA.

We hope you are having a joyous holiday season. When you're ready to relax and enjoy some great new pictures and stories, drop by. We've just added something like 30 new photos for your enjoyment, new links, new captions, just went nuts is what we did. Some pictures are added to previously existing names, so I'll mention those to save you some time.

Under Mel Torme, for instance, we added his new grave marker. Hattie McDaniel now has a nice new monument at Hollywood Forever, even though she is still buried at Angelus-Rosedale in Downtown LA. It had been her final wish to be buried in Hollywood, but in 1952, that request was denied due to racism prevalent at the time. On the 47th anniversary of her death, HF erected this monument to partially right the wrong. Check it out, it's beautiful. Groucho Marx is now joined by his brother, Chico. And Lionel Barrymore's cat, Pukie, now joins his master on the Barrymore page.

You'll also find Richard and Pat Nixon, Dorothy Dandridge, Scatman Crothers, Morey Amsterdam (the Dick Van Dyke Show was my all time favorite growing up), Eva Gabor, and well, just go to the What's New page to see who all we've added.

Be sure to check out the new caption under Mabel Normand. That girl was a kick, and earns her place under Infamous. On the links page, I'm happy to add a couple of friend's sites, as well as the newest creation from my brother and web master, Ken. If you love good fiction, visit the 13th Story.

Finally, we are thrilled to report that we have now had over 50,000 visitors to BLA, and won some award you can read about on the What's New page.

Have a safe holiday season, and don't forget you can do your shopping on-line through our Amazon links and Bookstore page. If you want to check out the newest CD from the best unknown band on the planet, visit Sauce. You'll find them on our links page under Author's Favorites. And don't let the fact that I appear as a background vocalist on it influence you in any way.

Thank you, as always, for your support and your letters and comments. Stop by anytime, the door's always open.

Steve
